Kurt says His music could be described as Acoustic/Distorted Roots and that he likes to keep things simple, but “simple” is NOT the word that comes to mind when watching him play his fast paced fingerstyle guitar. His passion for the purely instrumental is evidenced by his love of a spontaneous long solo or intro improvised on the spot.
After first picking up the guitar at age 10, with an early obsession with AC/DC ( I wonder where the long solo’s stem from?!!), 9 years later his own style has developed with key musical influences , The John Butler Trio, Bob Marley, Eric Bibb, Xavier Rudd, Newton Faulkner and Jack Johnson.
With his solo EP “Halcyon Days” in the backseat of the Van, Kurt is embarking on his long held goal, to get his music and passion out there for all to hear, proving to be an immense and evolving new talent who without a doubt, will soon be gracing the big stages of Australia.
Extensive man-crush on John Butler.
